Hello, It's Me.
I host two radio shows on TheRootsFM.org, a web station based in St. Louis.
- Down Yonder (Saturday mornings at 11) celebrates the full range of bluegrass and old-time string band music.
- Beyond (Tuesday nights at 10 pm) explores newgrass and progressive grass from the edges of bluegrass.
Beginning February 4th, I host a new bluegrass and old-time show, Shady Grove (Wednesdays at 10 am), on Community Radio St. Louis.
As a musician, I play mandolin and guitar with a couple of string bands based in St. Louis, most often with Three Crooked Men or The Mound City Slickers.
I make my home across the river from St. Louis in Edwardsville, Illinois, where I live with my wife, Diane, and our three cats. When not at home, you can usually find me on my bike somewhere on the Madison County Trails.
