If you want to hear me play, here's where to be and when. If not, these are the places to avoid.

The Mound City Slickers is an old-time string band specializing in fiddle tunes, some old country songs, piano rags, and an occasional blues tune. We play for contra dances in and around St. Louis and other gigs as we get them.
Back in 2015, Michael Banvard, Sean Barth and I got together as Three Crooked Men. We play old-time fiddle tunes and sings old songs, some rowdy and raucous, others not. Like The Slickers, we play for contra dances around St. Louis and other gigs. We have a good time whenever we play together. Other people seem to, too.
Around 1993, I started playing with Wayne Schell at the Pere Marquette Lodge overlooking the Illinois River north of Grafton, Illinois. After a few gigs as "Dudding & Schell," we became The Lodge Brothers. Others have joined the Lodge since then, but Wayne and I were the original Brothers, and always will be. We don't gig often, but when we do, we're doing what we love.
Besides the bands I play in, I often get the chance to play music with other people .. y'know, as musicians do. Sometimes, it's a gig. More often, it's a jam session. Whatever the occasion, it's always fun to find connections with others through a shared love of music. This is gallery of pictures and videos of me playing well with others.
