The Mound City Slickers formed a long time before I joined the band. After a couple of personnel changes, about ten years ago I offered to play guitar for them if they liked. They said they did, and I've been a Slicker ever since. We play around the St. Louis area, usually for the Childgrove contra dances at the Monday Club and for other performance gigs as we get them. Whatever the gig, we enjoy making music together. It's good to be a Slicker. To see where we're playing, check out our schedule on the Slickers website.
